Scope and Content

Constructed ca. 1868. A 2-story stuccoed brick building was built on this site just after 1868 to provide income for a widow of a Charleston shoe dealer. It retains later pressed-metal detailing in its pedimented window surrounds and bracketed cornice. File contains newspaper article with photo (DYKYC); building history from Information for Guides of Historic Charleston; Rosen and Associates inspection report (2005). No photos on file.
