Constructed ca. 1837-45. A member of a family of wealthy shipbuilders and merchants built this 2½ -story single house as an investment before he sold it to Mrs. Edward H. Edwards in 1845. The Greek Revival detailing of its piazza and entry architrave confirm its date of construction.
