LEGARE.035.1Scope and Content
Constructed prior to ca. 1790 during the ownership of Elizabeth Williams, evolving throughout the years into the present house. Constructed as a central hall single house, with a rear two-story dependency, which has been present since at least the late 19th century. Today the house is wood-framed with a weatherboarded exterior. Originally the front facade would have had 2 bays punctuated with nine-over-nine windows. In the late 19th century, two-over-two bay windows were added on the first and second floor in conduction with the unique pressed tin tiled mansard roof.
Gift (legal) (2 files): Documentation of the first (1984) easement on the property including related correspondence, Mortgage Subordination Agreement, and Part I certification application; documentation of the current easement on the property (2016) (extinguishes prior easement); elevation certificate and plats; interior easement protection key.
Management Folder: 1 folder containing annual inspection reports, requests for alterations, and correspondence related to the management of the property; architectural drawings (Glenn Keyes, 2014) (see also large-format blueprint files); 1 CD (documentation of HCF's efforts to enforce the easement (1991-2014) including final violation documents and invoices related to the enforcement; correspondence between HCF and the original easement donor/violator spanning May 2013 - July 2014.
