Constructed 1783-1800. This small gable-roof dwelling with beaded weatherboarding was built by a member of the Mazyck family, original owners of this area, after the Revolution. On the exterior of the first floor it retains its original trim and nine-over-nine windows, and some Federal style mantels and a staircase remain on the interior. (Poston, Buildings of Charleston)
