Constructed in 1916 as The Harriot Pinckney Home for Seamen, replacing the Old Mariner’s Chapel at 50 Church Street which was leveled in the Earthquake of 1886. Situated at the northeast corner of East Bay and North Market Streets.
File contains graduate student report (Shea McEnerney, 2020) on the history of the house, which includes historical and chain-of-title research, maps, photos, and other supporting documentation; newspaper article (3/27/1932); architectural drawings including existing elevations and site plan, presumably submitted in support of BAR application (2000, no indication of approval status).
