Windsor chair, possibly an original furnishing of the Nathaniel Russell House. The chair is a bow back, nine spindle, faux bamboo Windsor chair. The shaped seat is visually separated from the spindles by a continuous indented line, and has a chamfered front edge. The H stretchers are bulbous on the sides, with bamboo turnings on the connecting piece. The chair is impressed with the mark of Thomas Mason of Philadelphia on the underside of the seat.Collection
