The St. Charles Hotel (later known as the Argyle Hotel) stood on the northwest corner of Meeting and Hasell Streets, razed in 1958. Current site of the Best Western King Charles Inn. No additional building history on file. Needs further research. File contains captioned newspaper photographs of building in 1895 and 1985; brochure for King Charles Inn, ca. 1960s; newspaper articles about demolition of Argyle Hotel (pdf).
