Scope and Content

John P. Lloyd acquired the property in 1819 and built the house probably shortly after. Demolished to make way for a modern office building. The house consisted of a front section of fine frame construction with a rear section of brick covered with plaster. Behind the main residence were outbuildings, including an arched carriage house with living quarters above. File contains newspaper article about demolition of house (DYKYC, 1953).
