NEW.013.1Scope and Content
Constructed ca. 1887. Two-story frame residence with a full-height projecting window bay at the south facade, a two-tier piazza along the west elevation, and a narrow rear wing with separate piazza. Built by the Carter Brothers for the merchant Joseph Thompson.
Three files contain documentation of the easement on the property including mortgage subordination and correspondence; Part I certification (National Register); easement appraisal report and IRS form 8283; FOHG house history (2007); Hurricane Hugo damage survey (pdf); historical/chain-of-title research information.
