Hall stand with bevel mirror
1870/1890
High back w/ shield shaped mirror at center. Applied floral carvings above and below mirror and shell carving on top pediment. Four cast iron coat hooks- two per side of hall rack. Turned finials at upper corners. Chair height seat forms base with hinged lid concealing a storage compartment. High shaped arms with three turned spindles at center. Shaped front post forming a "flat" surface cabriole leg on bottom and curved arm support above seat. Front surface of storage compartment is convex. Metal bracket attached to right side above arma nd wood bracket attached under seat intended for use as umbrella or cane storage. Drip pan missing from bottom bracket.Collection
