Constructed 1900-02. One of the later residences on the street, Sarah Martin's house exemplifies the fully developed Queen Anne style in a Charleston context. A gable-ended porch sheathed in overlapping wood shingles surmounts the front entry. Similar shingles cover the gabled roof and the cross gable of its projecting front bay. A double-tiered piazza with Queen Anne style columns and balusters shades its south facade.
File contains photocopies of photos and architectural drawings, including existing plans and elevations, submitted in support of BAR application in 2005 (NOTE: no indication of approval status).Collection
