3 Orange Street (Elizabeth Petrie House)Entry/Object ID
ORANGE.003.1Scope and Content
Constructed ca. 1768; renovated and partially restored 1970s. The widow of the silversmith Alexander Petrie occupied this house which was built by her husband's estate on one of the lots he subdivided from the Orange Garden. The basic form of this pre-Revolutionary single house survives, and, like other dwellings on this street, it stands on a deep lot affording a substantial rear garden.
File contains FOHG house histories (1988 and undated); measured first floor plan; real estate listing with description (2010); transcription of the will of Alexander Petrie.Collection
