Chickering of Boston (1823-1983) Piano 1866 Rosewood, rosewood veneer, cast iron soundboard, ivory keys (no# 28887) Style: Empire/ Renaissance Revival transitional Piano case on four massive legs which are faceted and tapered to faceted bun feet. Rectangular form, fretwork music stand. Purchased through the sale of Aiken jewelry after the Civil War.
