Dolphin leg game table
1820/1835
Mahogany with mahogany veneer; brass inlay and gilding
Having rectangular top with cut corners that folds open into octagonal games table; over conforming apronwith inlay at base(which is completely missing), supported on two front modified dolphin figures and two rear twisted and turned supports, on shaped base, on on four dolphin-head feet, on casters.
When top is open is supported by three metal pieces that holds leaf up.
Has octagonal top that swivels n pedestal top so the table can fold out for gaming. Gilding has worn off legs and supports. Original brass inlay banding has "popped" out and is stored in table top.Collection
