Constructed ca. 1760-70; moved to back of lot and restored mid-20th century. In its mid-20th-century restoration the house was shifted on the property for construction of an adjacent retail space. File contains excerpt from 62 Famous Houses; FOHG house history (1995); house history from the 2011 Tour Guide Training Manual; brochure for The Thomas Elfe Workshop; existing elevations (photocopy, Evans & Schmidt).
