QUEEN.118.1Scope and Content
Constructed 1867-68. H. Bollman, a German grocer, built this 3-story stuccoed brick single house right after buying a lot from the Dazier trust. The Italianate window heads and cornice add distinction to an otherwise severe facade. On its west line, the Bollman house formerly boarded the orphanage of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, a substantial brick building demolished in the 1960s. Modern townhouses now occupy the site.
