Documentation of restoration activities in progress at the Nathaniel Russell House, with narrations by HCF staff members and other experts. Exterior brickwork repairs and restoration with Jimmy Olsten and Jessica Goodale / Jason Neville -- Overview of restoration project (brickwork, ironwork, marble, windows) / Glenn Keyes -- Investigation and analysis of the cornice (created by "Mr. O'Hara") -- Tom Savage giving a house tour where he describes discoveries and interprets the furnishings, presented to HCF staff and other preservationists by Tom Savage. Footage dated March 26-27, April 1,1998. After approximately 15 minutes of unrelated footage (see Notes), NRH documentation resumes: Restoration of the iron balcony / Barry Bate, Asheville Ironworks. 1 videodisc (DVD) : 90 min.
