Arm chair England c. 1800 Mahogany with gilt Descended in the Allston family Pair of Painted and Gilt Wood English Armchairs, C.1800, Regency/George III. with History of Ownership in the Allston Family. Match 92.4.1-2. Rush Seat Open Armchairs with Slightly Curved Back, Downswept Arms and Caned Seats on Slightly Flared Tapered Legs. Square Panel on Crest Rail and Back Rest of Interlocking Open Rings. Chairs Have Been Stripped and Restored and Are Presently Painted Black. No decoration in central panel.
