Volume 1 of a 6-volume directory of Charleston streets, houses, and buildings, based on research from City Directories. Organized by street and then alpha-numerically by address. Each street section includes a brief history of the street itself; each address includes a history of ownership of the property. Intended to be a resource for the start of research; the information is not conclusive and may even sometimes be inaccurate by the authors' own admission.
Volume I (Issue I) contains streets beginning with A and B (Accommodation Wharf, Addleston, Alberta, Alexander, America, Amherst, Ann, Anson, Archdale, Ashley, Atlantic, Barre, Beaufain, Bedon's Alley, Bee, Bennett, Blake, Bogard, Brigade, Broad, Bull, Burn's Lane).
