Constructed 1980. Cummings and McCrady, architects. The firm of Cummings and McCrady designed this 52,000-square-foot building for the College of Charleston's Center of Continuing Education graduate studies and learning resources, which was dedicated to Thaddeus Street, a business leader in 20th century Charleston. This building is the first of several that were attempts to imitate the Charleston streetscape through the street-line massing and indentation of most of the structure. (Poston, Buildings of Charleston.)
