Constructed after 1770. This 2-story frame house was built by Edward McCrady, a Patriot in the Revolution who was exiled by the British to St. Augustine. He owned McCrady's Tavern, where George Washington was entertained in 1791. The house is now part of the College of Charleston campus. (Source: City of Charleston Tour Guide Training Manual)
