Scope and Content

Constructed in 1914 by Sires and Westendorff, a commercial fuel oil and gasoline company, for mixed commercial/residential use with 2 residential apartments above. The building is an irregularly shaped, stuccoed 3-story brick structure with a low-hipped metal roof. (Source: Part 1 Certification) Four files contain documentation of the easement on the property; annual inspection reports, requests for alterations, and correspondence related to the management of the property, including lawsuit HCF vs. Westendorff; Westendorff family research (City Directory entries, business advertisement, death certificate of Clarence W. Westendorff) (compiled by HCF intern, ca. 2013); chain-of-title and city directory research notes (Preservation Consultants, 1980s). No easement donation photographs (Exh. B to Deed of Conservation Easement) on file. No inspection photographs on file, digital only (see Easement Manager). Slide and digital inspection photos only.
