Scope and Content

Constructed ca. 1852. A two-story wood frame dwelling that underwent a major renovation some time in the late 19th century. Two files contain legal documentation of the covenant on the property; correspondence and other documentation related to the sale of the property; documentation related to the management of the property; documenataion of HCF's acquisition, rehabilitation, and preparation for the sale of the property; historical and chain-of-title research including plats, maps, and deeds; newspaper articles; architectural drawing of front elevation (undated, unattributed); data sheet for CharlestonWISE Impact Project (Sustainability Institute) that includes construction date, square footage, number of stories, building orientation, system materials/types, Sanborn Map research notes, and additions/alterations notes (Mariah Schwartz, 2011).
