Scope and Content

Constructed ca. 1880. The builder of three houses and a corner grocery store at Broad and Savage Streets completed this substantial L-shaped dwelling a few years before the earthquake. The dwelling retains its original 2-over-2 windows and Italianate door hood framing an oval glass transom. File contains 1886 Earthquake Damage Assessment; Hurricane Hugo Damage Survey; Rosen and Associates (engineers) inspection report (1997) and letter to homeowner (1998).
