Constructed ca. 1920. A fine example of an early 20th century summer house with associated windmill. Features a broad front porch that wraps around both sides and large double windows. Three-story frame house set on brick pier foundation, clad in novelty siding, with hipped roofs with standing-seam metal roofing. Porch has double columns on brick pedestals and picket balustrades. Principal entry has a transom and ovoid sidelights and an early wood-and-glass entry door.
Three files contain documentation of the easement on the property including related correspondence and Confirmation of Understanding; Part I certification (National Register); easement appraisal report and IRS form 8283; correspondence related to the management of the property; narrative history (from Part I Cert.); historical research notes including photocopy of maps, excerpt from books (Rockville by Alicia Anderson Thompson and History of Charleston County edited by Thomas Petigru Lesesne).
