SOCIETY.054.1Scope and Content
Constructed ca. 1853. George Black built this finely crafted 2½ story, side-hall-plan house after his purchase of the lot in 1852. Italianate in style with stucco quoins, window lintels, and a gable end with a central arched window, the Black house offers variety in a block dominated by single houses.
File contains FOHG house histories (2008, 2013); correspondence (2 letters, 1998) related to plans for the main house and carriage house.Collection
