Description

Sideboard, Empire style, c. 1835, American, probably New York, mahogany and mahogany veneer, having rectangular top with rounded edges, rectangular backsplash flanked by two circular columns, over three short drawers, center drawer having keyhole, flanking drawers having knob handles; over three paneled cabinet doors when open each reveal one adjustable shelf, flanked by cilcular columns; over two drawers with keyhole and two knob handles, on molded base, on bracket feet, on casters. Condition: Large pieces of veneer missing especially on lower drawers and molded base; rounded edge missing on left and right hand corners of rectangular top; right and left corners of base broken, right column completely detached, left column mostly detached
