SBATTERY.050.1Scope and Content
Constructed ca. 1890. This house, with its rusticated stone foundation, painted stone columns supporting an attenuated arcade (infilled with glass), and second-story curved linear projections under an extensive overhanging roof, was constructed by Charles Drake. An eclectic mix, the dwelling seems to incorporate elements from the Colonial Revival, Queen Anne, and Arts and Crafts styles.
Three files contain documentation of the easement on the property and related correspondence; Part I certification (National Register); easement appraisal report and IRS form 8283; annual inspection report.
See Easement Documentation Photo Files for easement donation photographs (Exh. B to Deed of Conservation Easement). No inspection photographs on file (see Easement Manager's digital files).Collection
