One of a pair of matched Karabaugh Rugs. Gallery Carpet. South Caucasus, last quarter 19th century. Wool carpet having navy gorund decorated with figures of horses, flowers and ten-sided medallions each with faded rosy brown, beige and green border centering altternating floral and figural medallions in a series of 3-2-3-2 pattern, flanked by narrow beige border having stylized wine-colored and green leaf decoration. Narrow border flanks wider wine-colored swag and geometric design, outer border beige with green dental design. Fringe worn.Collection
