One wicker armchair, with continuous loop back and various designs executed in wood, rattan, cane and reed. The focal point of the chair is the back which consists of an intricate pattern of cane, a variation on the "English Star" design. The original label of the Heywood-Wakefield Company is located on the back rail. The Heywood-Wakesfield Company was in operation from 1897-1930, and was located in Bosten with retail outlets in New York City, Chicago, and San Francisco. The Chair is worn but in stable condition. The chair was originally located in the Aiken-Rhett House in Charleston, SC
