76 Queen Street (Graham Building) / 74 Queen StreetEntry/Object ID
QUEEN.076.1Scope and Content
Constructed 1893-94; rehabilitated 1970s; renovated ca. 2010. Front-facing, plantation style Charleston house built in the Queen Anne style. With its form essentially the same as Greek Revival examples, the Graham House with its turned columns and two-over-two windows shows the way Victorian details were often imposed on this earlier Charleston building pattern. Recently used for the Gibbes Museum of Art. It and its neighbor at 74 Queen Street were renovated ca. 2011 for Husk Restaurant and its stand-alone bar building.
File contains Charter Day (2012) script; architect's report on the renovation challenges at 74 and 76 Queen (ca. 2010)..Collection
