Notes
Photos were sent to Joseph H. McGee, 4 King Street, Charleston, S.C., with cover letter signed by Neil, dated May 22, 1957.
Letterhead: Commander Mine Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet, U.S. Naval Minecraft Base, Charleston, South Carolina
Letter stated: "Dear Joe, / I am sending you herewith a set of eight aerial photographs of Charleston and the surrounding area which I think are most interesting---you may desire to keep them for your reference and study as this wonderful city develops further. With all that you know of its history, I am sure you will call to mind many stories about buildings and areas which these pictures show. Please keep them and think about me when I have left you---but don't ever think I am not coming back! / Janet joins me in our warmest regards and all good wishes to Madeline, Peter and yourself. / Sincerely, Neil"Copyright
