TRADD.110.1Scope and Content
Constructed ca. 1900; renovated with addition ca. 1980. A contractor of the Mormon faith replaced an earlier single house on this site at the turn of the century. Built in the Shingle style, the dwelling with hipped roof and cross gables features a one-story front piazza with shingled square columns, a curvilinear bay on the second story, and overhanging eaves with long rectangular brackets. Mrs. Margaretta Agnes Muller bought the completed residence in 1904. Her son, John D. Muller Jr., later a leading Charleston preservationist, spent his childhood in this house.
File contains FOHG house histories (undated-1960s?, 2000) and garden history (2007).Collection
