Description

One upholstered wing-bank chair, Rococo revival style, mahogany, likely of New York manufacture, circa 1840-1860.. From the front drawing room at the Aiken-Rhett House. having shaped crest rail with center leaf and scroll decoration centering shell carving, upholstered and padded back and arms, scroll arm supports, over shaped seat and chair rail, on leaf carved and modified cabriole front legs and modified back legs, on casters, upholstered in blue velvet material.
