The prosperous contractor C.C. Trumbo built 20 Trumbo Street, the first of two houses constructed on the street that bears his name. These dwellings follow the side-hall house plan, have west-facing piazzas, and boast late-Greek Revival style detailing. Records referring to this thoroughfare as "Trumbo's Court" start with the late 1860s. (Buildings of Charleston)
4 Trumbo Street was built ca. 1893, a wood frame, wood-sided house; 12 Trumbo Street was built ca. 1891, a wood frame house.
No additional house histories on file.
