Set of four side chairs, Federal, mahogany, each having shield-shaped back, with serpentine crest, above five uprights carved with stylized leafage above a slip seat, serpentine shaped seat rail, on moded and tapered legs with 'H'-shaped stretcher. Probably from Philadelphia. Seats of yellow pine.
