Constructed ca. 1790; rebuilt ca. 1870. Originally two adjoining brick tenements built by Samuel Prioleau Jr., this property was damaged by the Federal bombardment of the city during the Civil War and rebuilt as a single building after the war by Anthony J. Salinas, a cotton factor.
