GILLON.010.1Scope and Content
10 Gillon Street is a good example of early-19th century Charleston architecture. It was constructed ca. 1820 and the exterior has changed very little over the years. The interior was converted into office space but retains some of the original finishes. It is a 3½ story stuccoed brick structure with a pan tile roof. The second floor is dominated by a central paired French door leading to a circular wrought iron balcony. (Source: Historic Preservation Certification Application, Part 1, Laurens Collection.)
