Title of drawing: Plat of Lands Granted to Edward Middleton in 1680 [photocopy] Date of drawing: November 10, 1716 Name of creator: John Herbert, Surveyor Plat representing the "form and shape of 1,630 acres of land lying on the northeast side of Goose Creeke [sic] ... and granted unto Edward Middleton ___ the 24th day of June 1680, and also 70 acres of swamp land on the __ creeke [sic] now included in this plat and granted to Arthur Middleton Esq., son of said Edward Middleton ... and now upon a resurvey ... we find the buildings and boundings to be several old marked(?) trees being ____ according to the above delineated plat. All mistakes of the first survey being rectified and also all creeks, paths and high roads as is layed [sic] down in the ___ plat by an exact survey, November 10, 1716."
