WARREN.068.1Scope and Content
Constructed ca. 1874-75. Jane MacIntosh built this simple 2-story Charleston single house with double-tiered piazzas right after purchasing this lot for $400 in 1874 from Sophia Frances Shepard Wilson, owner 57 Radcliffe Street. Several other single houses on this side of Warren Street follow this same sort of pattern with a mix of late-Greek Revival and Italianate styles. Another single woman, Miss Virginia Webb, built a similar house at 76 Warren Street in the late 1870s.
