Also considers the work of the Ming and Ch'ing dynasties, including the reigns of Hsuan Te, Ch'eng Hua, Chia Ching, Lung Ch'ing, Wan Li, Yung Cheng, Ch'ien Lung, and others. Separate chapters discuss the technique of Ming porcelain, miscellaneous porcelain factories, K'ang Hsi blue and white, K'ang Hsi polychrome porcelains, K'ang Hsi monochromes, European influences in the Ch'ing dynasty, nineteenth-century porcelains, porcelain shapes in the Ch'ing dynasty, motives of the decoration, and forgeries and imitations.
