Charleston Historic Preservation PlanDescription
Working in a partnership with the Historic Charleston Foundation, the City contracted with the firm of Page & Turnbull to lead in the creation of an updated Historic Preservation Plan, the first update to the city's ground-breaking 1974 plan. The new plan seeks to address the issues of balancing change with the preservation of buildings through policies that support stewardship of Charleston's diverse historic areas. Adopted by Charleston City Council on July 15, 2008.
