WENTWORTH.097.1Scope and Content
Constructed between 1830-40. This two-and-a-half story brick house with sandstone window sills was built on land leased from St. Michael's Church, which retained ownership of the lot until 1945. The house varies from the single house plan by having an entrance on the street side and a side hall with adjoining first floor rooms. A twin formerly stood at 95 Wentworth Street. Today the house is used as fraternity housing by the College of Charleston. (Source: City of Charleston Tour Guide Training Manual.)
