Scope and Content

Constructed ca. 1871. Two-story, wood "single house" on a raised brick foundation, constructed by a German bakery owner and Postmaster on a large town lot. Three files contain documentation of the easement on the property including related correspondence and Confirmation of Understanding; Part I certification (National Register); annual inspection reports, requests for alterations, and correspondence related to the management of the property; house history notes including renovations (1962-1990), newspaper articles, and photos (photocopies); excerpts from "History of Mount Pleasant"; Sanborn and other maps; historical plats; photocopies of titles/deeds.
