Constructed ca. 1880s. This two-story clapboard single house is one of a pair constructed sometime in the 1880s, replacing a larger brick structure which had been demolished after the earthquake of 1886. The twin stands just south and features an identical exterior including a double piazza, a front door hood, and a bow window. The side hall floor plan used in these houses is a modification of the single house plan and with the 10 foot ceilings allows for better interior circulation.
