Also shows the street corner (Meeting and Water Streets) and a view east on Water Street. c: Rear of building, showing portion of piazzas and rear of small auxiliary building. House across the street (43 Meeting?) in background. d: South (piazza) elevation. (Note that the piazzas were torn down during remodeling.) e: Back lot and rear of auxiliary building. f-g: Interior of store, with empty shelves and debris on floor, rear of store (photo F) and front of store (photo G). h-i: Unidentified interior room with fireplace.

Context

Donor of the photographs is the granddaughter of Mary Howard, who had the house renovated and returned to residential use ca. early 1960s. The work was likely done by the DeCosta Co.
