HANOVER.002.1Scope and Content
Constructed ca. 1860s (before 1872), possibly by Michael Lyons. A classic Charleston single house located on the corner of Hanover and South Street on the east side of Hanover Street. The piazza is on the south side of the house, facing South Street. The house is wood framed with weather board exterior walls, now with asphalt shingles as its roofing material.
File contains graduate student report (Andrea Joyce Cooper, 2016) on the history of the building/property, which includes historical and chain-of-title research, maps, photos, and other supporting documentation.
