Constructed in 1963 by Charleston Merchant Housing Corp. on a lot that had on which an earlier single house had been built after 1872 that itself likely replaced even earlier structures that were destroyed in the Great Fire of 1861. The early single house was torn down in 1962 by land developer Henry Yaschik who sold the property to Charleston Merchant Housing Corp. (HCF research notes, 2018.)
