Constructed ca. 1835 and purchased in 1886 by Carsten Peters, a German grocer who lived in and operated a grocery store at 54 Chapel. Peters likely used 50 Chapel as a rental. (HCF research notes, 2018.) File contains research notes for the 2018 Festival of Houses and Gardens (HCF staff) including Charleston County property record documentation, chain-of-title, and various maps; Carolopolis Award Nomination Form (2016).
