ZIGZAG.003.1Scope and Content
The house at 3 Zig Zag Alley was built between 1905 and 1910 for the Trust Estate of James F. and Josephine L. Spinney. It is two-stories raised on a brick foundation above a basement whose earthen floor is about two feet below ground level.
Three files contain documentation of the easement on the property and related correspondence including Confirmation of Understanding and conceptual approval letter; Part I certification (National Register); easement appraisal report and IRS form 8283; draft FOHG house history (1997); historical research report including chain-of-title research, maps, plats, etc. (Fick, 2020); history of Zig Zag Alley (Fick, 2020); will of William Turpin; Stockton report on 38 Church Street with sections pertaining to Zig Zag Alley and the Clifford Tract.
Files will/may eventually contain additional documentation such as annual inspection reports; requests for alterations; correspondence related to the management of the property; correspondence and other documentation related to the sale of the property; additional historical research; etc.
